County Clare Letter

In a collection of documents that are in my care, I found a copy of a letter written 17th March, 1840 from County Clare, Ireland. It is addressed, "Dear Nephew," signed, "Your devoted uncle, Timothy." The letter is very interesting to say the least, but I can't figure out who it is to, or even if its legitimate. If anyone knows anything about this letter, please let me know.

You can download a printable version, or a version with much larger type below.

UPDATE: I found a couple posts [1] [1 local] [2] [2 local] on a celtic history website that recite alternate versions of this letter, so I guess this letter is just a joke.
